Dr. Javate joined our staff in April of 2004. When asked what she
thought of her experience since joining Family Health
Associates, this is what she had to say:
“I came to Lebanon in search of something more fulfilling than what
I had in the practice I established in Los Angeles. In April
2004, I joined Family Health Associates. I found the adjustment from metro L.A. to
the far smaller setting of Lebanon wasn’t difficult in the
least. In fact, I soon found that Family Health Associates
maintained a higher standard of care and overall professionalism
than I had ever been exposed to. It was such a well-organized
practice that the long adjustment period which I anticipated
never actually materialized. I credit the doctors and staff with
making my entry into this new world with FHA such an easy affair
because they were not only willing, but also eager to give
me encouragement and support.
In July 2005 I was given the opportunity to become a full
partner. Of course, I accepted without any reservations.

As an independent rural health clinic,
established in 1992, Family Health Associates
committed itself to the primary goal of being
the vanguard of a new era of medical excellence
to the community of Lebanon, Missouri. Dr.
Jolene Ostwinkle, the founder of Family Health
Associates, recognized that the health care
needs of the growing populace could not be fully
realized until an equally appropriate level of
trust in the medical community could be
established. Family Health Associates soon
became known as the trusted source of medical
care for the people and became the anchor for
other specialties to grow and flourish.
Today Family Health Associates is owned and managed by physician partners with the original goal of being the vanguard of care. Being designated as a Rural Health Provider allows Family Health Associates to care for Medicare/Medicaid clients by means of an excellent reimbursement program. This translates to being able to provide quality care to a greater number of the community than otherwise would be possible and allows Family Health Associates the financial profitability to continue its service.
As a physician practicing at Family Health
Associates you'll discover the autonomy and
professionalism to perfect your chosen area of
expertise. We provide support by managing
the office and allowing you to manage your
patients without the layers so many larger
clinics are forced to maintain. As a
member of the physician staff at FHA you have
the opportunity to become a partner. Our
call schedule is 1:5 on the weekends and we do
not practice obstetrics so your time off is
largely your own.
